Default Dual Monitors/Downsizing

Ok, the question is really simple... or I think it is.

When Using Dual Monitors:

Is there a way to stop a full screen app from downsizing when I click another application ?

If so, How might I go about setting this up ?

--I have been using dual monitor setup for a while now but, when I use it and play Vanguard. I find that it is easy to scroll/click into the other monitor. Which can cause someone to get killed in my party. Seeing as I mostly play a Cleric.--

I keep thinking that there HAS to be a way to do this, it doesn't seem intelligent to have the tech avalible. Yet, not allow you to use it with full screen applications. *sigh*.

Anyways, any help would be appreciated. And if there is already a thread about this, please drop me the link and/or delete this thread.

Thanks!

Edit: I know there is a thread about dual monitors but, nobody mentioned anything about a downsizing problem. Even though some of the people posting there mentioned running a game Full Size, with other apps on the 2nd monitor.

From what little I know of dual screen use you won't be able to avoid the shrinkage unless you run the app "windowed". Full screen doesn't seem like it would work, as it would recognize the entire setup as one desktop - say 2 screens at 1280x1024 would be viewed by the PC as one screen that's 2560x1024, thus when you switch apps it shuts down the "full screen" app, as it is set to "full screen".

Ah, but here is the thing. To my knowledge the computer doesn't "see" 2 screens. It sees a single desktop and only "sees" one desktop.

I'm pretty sure they mean they are running it "windowed", with the window set to the max size of one screen.

In terms of how the PC sees the desktop as a single unit, this makes it a very different case.

What a bummer, I guess I will have to start running VG in windowed mode then.

You had pretty much the same response as a few of the local techs.

Thank you for the response though!

woot! I'm smarts and stuffs!

Of course, clicking off the window would still 'deactivate it', and your peeps may still die even though you still see them due to the 'double click' required (one to get back into the window, one to do whatever you are trying to do.)

What is it you are doing that requires you to click out of the game and back?
