It is probably quite difficult to get that ratio right as SSD are basically using themselves up while beeing used so you need alot more storage on it than you have available to have an acceptable lifetime. That makes it quite expensive.

Price is coming down really quickly. I think you can get x for 50% of what it was just 6 months ago, and as mentioned it's faster/better x to boot.

The price was coming down, but it seems to have stalled currently as demand for FLASH memory has gone through the roof. Still, it's at a workable price performance ratio theses days and its gonna get better.

And finished. Had a lot of fun building this, and spent far too much money. Compromises were made for aesthetic reasons, but in the end the machine is very quick, almost silent and striking looking.

Finished Batman a few months back on my PS3, great game.

Currently playing Dragon Age on the PC, which is hooked up to the big Plasma. Great game, nasty memory leak in it tho. When you first load it up it takes a couple of seconds to load an area, after a big playing session that's gone up to a couple of minutes. At this point it's quicker to leave the game, reboot, start the game and load your save

That sounds a bit... off with you having 12 gig and a SSD. Something that bad that takes you minutes to load seems like it would be completely crippling to an average user with 4 gig and no SSD. I'd say do some looking around on that and see if that's a known issue or something just happening with you.

I kinda have to agree with rabb1t, my system is no where near near yours and I've not had that problem.... Even last week when a couple of days I was playing all day, it never slowed down for me. Did have 1 ctd (entering the chantry in the first village) but was fine after I loaded up my save. In all honesty, I am somewhat impressed with the lack of bugs. Bout time someone released a game that is actually done

It's a known issue, seems to be prevalent on quad core systems - so some kind of threading issue. 12GB doesn't help as the leak is in the 2GB that the game as a 32bit application can handle.
