Ahhh, yeah. I think that Revenge of the Nerds movie was the first and last to offer that feature.

Has there ever been a 3d movie that was good? I can't remember anything 3d being something I'd consider as a quality movie. I know 'Medium' had a 3d episode a few years back, and I know 3d was really cool back in the 50's. But even those movies were pretty shitty, 'Attack of the 50ft Woman' in 1958, for example.

Even Tron was a pretty crappy movie. I remember watching it on HBO in the mid-80's. Even as a 5th grader it was a pretty blah movie. Top Gun was released 4 years after Tron and Top Gun vs. Tron isn't even a fair fight.

Whoever said that 3d is an excuse to make crap movie, or in this case, re-relase a crap movie, was right.

Maybe if Tron had men playing Volleyball it would have tickled your fancy more?

Perhaps this new one will.

You probably won't believe me, but I grew up in San Diego and my step dad was a truck driver. He worked on Top Gun driving a giant truck with the film equipment to the different locations.

In the volley ball scene there is split second where you see some cars in the background. There is a red 67 mustang, it was my mom's. Not the tricked out one, but the stock one in the parking lot. The movie people had asked the crew members that if they had an old car to bring it in for that scene. It was shot at NAS Miramar and all the flight deck scenes were on the USS Ranger.

Ok that's cool. I'd really like someone to leave me an old arcade with the original machines all covered. I built a cocktail cabinet with a MAME PC inside (that I still need to finish off and make pretty) and that's as close as I'm going to get I think.

I'd love to see it in IMAX 3D. I hope Jeff Bridges is in it more than the previews let on.

Also those like me that only have sight in one eye get nothing from 3D

That's a bummer! Is it true that you lack depth perception because of only one eye functioning? My neighbor is a dentist with only one eye. He wears a patch covering his missing eye. It always unnerved me thinking of him drilling through my teeth with only one eye.
