As of yesterday a DVI to Display Port converter is on it's way to the market.
Accel converter
Why is this important? It means you don't have to drop $500 for a roughly 23" monitor x3 for Eyefinity. You can instead drop the normal $200ish x3 and get this converter for the one which requires display port. That's an investment difference of -$900!
Eyefinity can now be gotten for around $650 in monitors and cables with good sized screens!
I was concerned at first if this meant a drop in resolution or clarity (as this is a single link, not dual link DVI), but with the ATi stamp of approval it should be fine. (Looking it up on teh Internets this just means that one connection caps at 1920x1200, which is a single monitor. I don't think many Eyefinity users will go with 3x 30"
