Speaking of OMFG in this folder, it's interesting to see that VG is still alive. They consolidated servers and now are just floating through limbo. What's ther current status of the game and have there been any plans announced lately?

Hey, it's great to see you all again! As for the current state of Vanguard, it seems there is a communication blackout regarding future development plans. I believe the merger was the last real update.

That said, I'm back there roaming the wilds by myself or as a duo with my bro. I have dropped all raiding and stuff like that.

Anyway, I'm glad this site is back up. I always did like chatting with you brigands!

Btw, as a guild, we'll be playing Rift. While this site was down, we did establish another guild site, silkyvenom.info, so if any of our VG friends are interested in joining us in Rift, be sure to register on the dedicated guild site too.

You make it seem like it was some planned policy. I imagine that there is no one left in the office to communicate anything. It's an abandoned game that some people keep giving money to.

I had all but given up on SV! I accidentally clicked my old link, thinking I was clicking on Steam, and up pops the site! Yay, this is like my internet home away from home.

Naw, I don't think there is anything as elaborate as a plan or policy.

Vanguard represents a terribly guilty pleasure for me, I must admit. But hey, we all gotta have our dirty little secrets, no? Vanguard is that sexy mistress I furtively steal away to visit under cover of darkness. She has a decidely questionable past and she doesn't shower much, but I've learned to look past some things to get my trick fix.

Nice to see it back. I was starting to think that due to Vanguard: Saga of Heroes being essentially dead that Silky Venom followed the footsteps in the footsteps of other fansites such as Vanguard Spheres.

Maybe this forum should be repurposed.

I wish the guild the very best of luck in Rift, it does look like an amazing game. I've been invited into the beta since they started but haven't had the time to play as I've set up a little business that's taking all my time!

Yeah I thought all that too. Rift could be one possibility I suppose, but I would wait to see that it's not a complete failure first.

Life is ok thanks! How are things with you? I saw your post on brads blog. I was glad to see it because I was sad that this site may never come back and I would have no alternative. I did try a few other places but I didn't like them. Brads Blog seems totally dead too. I can't believe it's been almost a year since his last message. What a flake!

I was rather confused as to what happened with SV myself, figured I'd post on BlogBrad just to see if anyone knew. As for his blog itself, clearly as much effort goes into writing posts as he put into creating Vanguard. A flake indeed!

I am pretty much MMO retired now. Games just get so freaking boring for me after a few weeks. I played DCU for a little bit, but i played it very very casually. Its fun, but i just dont want to sit at the computer for 4 hours raiding or playing that many hours straight anymore.

It must be me hitting my mid 30's thats doing something to me. Though i do still game on the console.
