SWTOR Blogger commits Internet Libel
My good old friends , do you miss my old Rodo reports. What happened you may ask? Stalking me and being oh so jealous of my many talents. StormDragon ( posting here as one of his many aliases, balamoor) Posted Internet Libel on his now defunct Gaming blog - the Company of the wolf ( I have page saves ) and got in a war with My Posting home at MMofringe.com -

Well the reason for my Reports , SWG is no more and I have to say I am enjoying TOR. But in the meantime Stormdragon has reinvented himself as yet another alias ( I love it when they talk to each other on MMORPG.com) Jett-Rinn with his Massive mind crap blog - the-outer-rim (job).com - just about everything he writes is a lie ...please keep that in mind if you ever read his dribble. |

I'm not sure why any of us would care about your feud with some other blogger. *shrug* Were you having difficulty drumming up interest in your regular posting places? Does he read this site or something?
I stopped playing SW:TOR after the free month, and I really don't feel I even got enough value to warrant the box price. I think it was a fairly bad game in all respects, and that a massive amount of money was wasted in all the wrong ways (read the review on MY blog  ). |

I don't have a blog. I don't have a facebook page. I really don't want people knowing what I'm doing and I don't really care what other people are doing.
If I have something to say then I usually say it in the context of a forum thread.

Lol same! Blogs are cool if you can talk about something interesting like Fozz's gaming one. But Facebook can suck it, and tweeting?! Insane. What's the world coming to?
I blame the games industry. They obviously are not making good enough games these days. And movies too. And TV too. (Excluding Breaking Bad, can't wait for that to come back.)

I can't spend the few minutes it would take to have any clue at all of what you are talking about. I'll just stay happily ignorant, because the situation couldn't possibly matter to anyone but the people involved. I think perhaps blogging and typing on forums somehow has inflated your sense of importance to the point where you think other people care what you say and do. I hate to be the one to have to shatter that little glass unicorn...but nobody cares.
From the momentary glance I took, neither of you have any grasp of the English language beyond an 8th grade level, yet somehow everyone is suing everyone else for what they claim was said on blogs which nobody involved has any business or qualification or justification to write. It's like a bunch of brain-damaged horse-kicked 12-year-olds posting photos up on Facebook and asking, "am I pretty?"
I hope the lawyers (if you ever actually involve any, beyond the fictional threats that all sides are making) laugh you out of their office and spend time on something worthwhile.

I don't think anyone here is siding with anyone because honestly, we probably have no clue what you're talking about. I have no idea who this "other party" is or the offense that's been committed. If you want to summarize your situation in a post, then I'd read it and possibly give a response, but I haven't chased your links.

Dude you come on here bringing some drama from another board/boards for what exactly?
Then you try to involve those who posted as taking the side of someone we care even less about than you?
I bet if I held up three pictures one of a keyboard,one of a mouse, the other of a vagina. You would be totally baffled by one of the pictures I'm sure.
So take a break from the blogs,sites.mmo's and maybe go outside and annoy real people where they can at least incarcerate you immediately without all the hoopla and drama.

I do know that Libel has a statue of limitations that vary by state. The longest states (New Hampshire, New Mexico, Vermont, Arkansas and Massachusetts) are three years. All the others are two years or less. From first publication.
I have a more pertinent question, though: How is this related to TOR?

He is an old SWG Smedley hater who takes it to a whole new level. He used to post a buncha hate SOE videos. Send scathing emails to SOE headquarters, and Smedley.
Took me awhile to remember him because there were so many retards trolls on FOH boards but then my old brain cleared up and there was Jestor Rodo 2009.
He was banned from FOH. The only way to help this guy is ban him for his own safety.

What does "libel" mean on the internet? Defaming a screen name? Defaming a stranger that no one knows in real life? Is posting a link considered republishing, and thus condoning it? I guess even morons must have a hobby.

What is defamation?

You have no reputation and what is the harm? Did it damage your business or lose clients? Heck, Jester is not your name; it's some kind of nom de plume that is not connected to your real life.
And, by making links, you are spreading the information. How can it be harmful if you yourself spread it around? Technically, this may fit into libel, but it is not legally libel.
