Well...wait a second...

You have to look at this the right way. If the hired gun from SOE is leaving...that probably makes it less likely that SOE is going to buy them up. Maybe.

Or I guess it could mean the opposite...he was trying to get away from SOE and when he found out they were going to own Copernicus, he decided to leave.

Yep...we still know nothing.

“To me the much bigger question what has been happening over the past 17 months? How has the Governor and his staff in his capacity as chair of the EDC board been monitoring this investment? The company does not run out of money overnight. The company does not find itself six or twelve months behind product development overnight,” Raimondo told WPRO’s Dan Yorke. “These problems to the extent they exist with this company have been simmering for a number of months and I think at some point tax payers deserve accountability. What has been happening here for the last year and a half.”
That's the biggest tell up to this point. It sounds like they are a year behind schedule and out of money.

Well, depending on what statement you believe...they are actually 2-3 years behind.

38 Studios (back when they were Green Monster Games) were originally talking about a summer 2010 release, back when they were in the first and second years of development. So their very first schedule has already slipped several times.

Well, not worse for us...

Other than possibly dropping our popcorn, we're watching this one from a safe distance.

I do feel really bad for the rank and file grunts in the company, though. They are clearly going to be the ones who suffer if Schilling and the RI government just pissed their jobs away.

Hm...massively got quite a few of their facts wrong, and really just reiterated things kind of poorly. They fail.

The picture is good, though.

Ah. yeah.

It seems like that would be part of not getting paid. Either way, it's not looking like they are going to have a very easy time keeping their employees.

Their team was kind of huge for a fledgling developer. I think they were very likely over-hiring due to the obligations of the deal with the state.

Oh good grief.

Yeah, now that rumor is going to get started and the press will be all over it. Good job, man.

I keep making posts over on 38 Watch and then deleting them before I hit "submit". Some of the folks there are just... *shakes head* I won't say. I just feel a little bad for the massive disappointment that's coming for some people.

LMAO you think they will buy that really? lol

Yeah I'm tempted to register on 38 watch and troll them but I will refrain. They will be devastated enough and will end up big GW2 fans yet never admit it lol.

Leaked screenshots. Definitely Todd style art. Still cartoony looking though.

Grahic designer on FOH after hearing the leak news."Surprising. Well, at least you guys can see a few characters/mounts. Wish you could see them in action. The game has the best animation I've ever seen in an MMO."
