Default "l33+" - the thread of cool things

So... I like things that look nice and sometimes go looking around NewEgg just to see what is "leet".

So check this out... what if, you were to go to a lan party, or some peeps came to your house, and 1 or 2 things you have would be thought of as "leet" what would they be?

(The challenge is to list only 1 or 2 things!)

I just found this mouse pad today... Steel Pad 5L 20030. And it's leet cause it loooooks leet! (And I guess it's got fancy construction.)

I guess my second most leet thing would be my Logitech G5. It's super cool to use and has fancy weight things you can change out to suit your style.

I think Saitek keyboards make even gurlfriends of geeks gaze in awe at the wonders of technology -- hrm ok so maybe not, but they should be awe-struck, then they'd really qualify to be the geek-princesses that they should be. mmm geek princesses...

Any gaming device with more than 3 buttons usually gets attention.

Back in my LAN party days, my friend Troy had a 15" monitor (couple of us had 14"'s, and a few had 13"'s). We were in AWE of his huge screen and crisp 256 colors. Or maybe it was even 16bit, lessee... hrm yeah would have been 16bit I bet. I'm sure the same would hold true today. I'd be staring at those 24" monitors with envy, until I pull out my 30"! ok ok, so I don't have a 30" -- yet!

I'd have to go with my 24" widescreen monitor, and my case with the clear side panel and the blue LEDs in the fans. My saitek eclipse keyboard I guess would be third...especially since its backlighting matching the blue fans in the case.

My case lights up and none of my friends have that. I hate my case but they might like it lol.

I think my desktop would be next. They all have the stock windows XP themes, I use a simple black theme with WindowBlinds.

They would have to be my speakers that sit either side of my monitor, and the two guardians of said speakers

*sigh* I'm not even l33+ enough to know what's 133+ I have a sneaking hunch that what I consider l33+ is actually obsol33+

*whispers* my 19" monitor and my glow-in-the-dark ball-less Microsoft mouse*

(ummm...no pun intended)

I don't think my PC would count (since it is basically an empty case with a few random parts that haven't blown up ). I don't have a gaming machine right now, and won't until VG is released. I do currently have a 23" Apple Cinema Display, but since it isn't displaying anything, not very leet.

Probably the coolest two items I have in my gaming room are a 4 foot Master Chief statue signed by the Bungie team... I got it from the Hurricane Katrina relief auction that they were doing. It is pretty darn cool.

And then I also have a framed set of EverQuest lithographs signed by Keith Parkinson from the box arts of EverQuest, Ruins of Kunark, and Scars of Velious, and a signed EQII movie-style poster signed by the EverQuest II dev team.

Not technologically leet, but geek leet regardless.

Dude you win!

Though I have a 3 year old little girl that knows how to turn on my computer, log herself into XP and then either launch IE and play her online games or switch out the cd and launch her other videos games.
