Yep.. now I just need the money. Was trying to decide between the Samsung 244t, HP LP2465, or the Acer AL2423Wdrbut now I know what I'm gonna buy. Just have to wait till January when I get my bonus check

Must be a price mistake... check this out...

*On a great note, my PC is now built! Motherboard works flawlessly as does the CPU. Extremely quiet vs my old AMD Barton...*

It does it does. However, you are at the mercy of their price on the step-up. (The price difference you pay is according to what they are asking for the card at their site.)

That's not uncommon. Dell seems to be in the habbit of putting up pages for items which haven't released yet and then 'not linking them' to anything. The 30" was like that for several weeks I think.

Yay, Dell. If you look now it's up, but it says it usually ships in 1-2 weeks! I guess they didn't have as many in as they needed for initial demand. Then again, maybe there's another reason.

Just bought this for my mother in laws build, I think it's a pretty good deal: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822135106
This is a good way to start off a cheap but capable build.
::EDIT:: EEERR! Go down to the bottom of the page where it says combo, the Athlon64+Caviar HD is what I got.

Looks like there is some Dominator ram in the DDR2-800 range, pretty 'cheap' for what it is. (Kingston's ram at that timing is quite a bit more.)
Corsair XMS2 2 gig DDR2-800 Dominator ram 4-4-4-12 timed, fancy heat spreader, EPP cert., $275 after rebate

Power supply: Want a good power supply that will support the next generation of graphics cards? Here's a 600W power supply, with 2 12v rails (12v1 = 18a; 12v2 = 20a), and a 3 year warranty for only $60. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...srccode=nvd a
I purchased one myself a little while ago and I'm waiting to put in my computer so I can upgrade my 500w PSU (and give it to my brother). I can't say exactly how well, or quiet it runs --however, all the reviews on Tiger Direct are good-- but I can say that I found the offer on nVidia's website so it can't be bad for nVidia to advertise it.
8800GTS: Here's an 8800GTS from MSI with a $15 off instant rebate. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127225
I have not purchased an 8800GTS but I do own a 7600GT from MSI and I can say that they take pride in their graphics cards. My 7600GT (factory OC) runs at 45C under load. But I digress, I definitely recommend purchasing from MSI. It's also currently the cheapest 8800GTS
CPU Heat sink and Fan: Here's a CPU heat sink and fan from Zalman for about $40. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...118223Normally the price is $20.00 more but there's an instant rebate on this one. I don't own this product either, but I have read that Zalman is a great brand for heatsinks and fans.
That's it for me so far.

As per request a few times the thread has now been stuck... which I suppose is a lot better than magically locked.

That's a decent PSU, sure. It really depends on what you want to use it for though. Like the 7 series GPUs take 18-22a each depending on which type, so that PSU probaly couldn't handle most of the dual card configurations, but it would be fine for a single GPU system. The OCZ on the other hand has quad v12 lines at 18a each and would have more than enough power to run dual cards (save for dual series 8s).

Alright rabb1t, yay sticky!
Anyway, I've talked about it on some other boards and Ultra is a pretty good brand. Like rabb1t said, if you plan on putting in any of the GeForce 8 series cards in SLI this PSU won't cut it.
