Class + Crafting Comparison
Is there any charts or guides that will explain what a good Class / Crafting Skill combo would be?
For instance, a cleric/blacksmith or carpenter, or something like that.

Blacksmith:
- Armorsmith: Heavy Fighters (Pallie, Warrior, Dreadknight), Cleric
- Weaponsmith: Melee Fighters (all melee - Ranger the least)
Outfitter:
- Leather Armor: Light Fighters, Disciple, Shaman
- Cloth Armor: Casters (Psioncist, Sorceror, Blood Mage, Druid)
Artificers:
- Masonry: Any
- Carpentry: Rangers

I'd disagree, I'd say monk the least =P
as a Ranger many fights get pulled to melee ranger, and having uber smithed swords or even say shortswords with +dex would be incredibly useful =P

I think that smiths can make fist weapons at amatuer level and rangers use bows more than any other DPS class, a weapon no produced by the smith. I could have my facts mixed up, though.

A leatherworker can make handwraps, and a weaponsmith can make claws.

Also saddlebags, handwraps, and unconfirmed maybe cloaks

Also bags and cloaks

If you are looking to make armor/items for your own character, the above list is very good. However crafting stats are completely seperate from adventuring stats, so being a strong fighter means nothing as far as being able to smith. Similarily race has no impact either, other than possible faction issues when completing quests or finding recipe trainers.

Racial bonuses for crafting and harvesting stats have just been patched in. Each races gets +10 in one crafting stat and +5 in one harvesting stat. The patch notes are up on Vanguard Spheres.

I'm actually really curious as to which crafter makes cloaks specifically. Is it any Outfitter? Maybe we can't make cloaks yet?
Would like some info on this. Also, for all crafting how do we go about choosing how we want items to look? Is that not an option for crafted items?
