Lets assume Sigil and SoE are too lazy/not interested/can't be arsed to code and work out a proper patching procedure for server since they aren't in different realms and all that. Okay, I can understand that. It takes some work after all, can't have that. like they are trying to screw you over? i dont work for sigil, neither do you. but just because they take the servers down for....... a few hours during your prime time, you blow a gasket? prime time is different for everyone. i myself work second shift, and sometimes third. so my "primetime" is much different than yours. all im saying is that if sigil makes the game run better then who cares what they do?

Get over yourself? Take your own advice.

Lunchtime-ish patching isn't a world-ending issue, just an annoying one. IF it's regular, and IF it's posted in advance so people can work around it. Primetime patching is a rather bigger issue and I bet you'd be screaming down the house if they did it to you.

The biggest issue, by a country mile, is random, lengthy downtime to servers - any servers - with no communication whatsoever.

Anyone know anything about a status page?

I take it from your answer that you didn't figure any good reasons then. You also have an interesting definition for someone "blowing a gasket". I am simply saying that I won't pay to play something with downtimes which they could easily make better.

You're obviously too thick to get anything through to, so I'll try to refrain answering to your next driveling.

Suvana, what do you mean by "status page"? A page that shows which servers are online and offline, or something more complicated? If the first, I think the "launcher" tells you which servers are currently offline.

Im pretty sure Europeans learn UK English over US English so gaming doesnt do much to help perfect their skills

delta9, even though I don't approve of "localized" either, both version are allowed in British English. Anyway, I'm Danish, and I've been taught both American and British English through school, always been told that we could pick what we wanted to, but had to stick to one of them (I picked British).

Dude the servers have now been down for 4 hours not the two they assured us they would be and it is our prime time of the day and still no word as to why or when, I am finding it very hard to side with you here. You choose to work all them shifts while we choose too buy and pay for a game/service we can play when WE WANT not when you or SOE/Sigil wants. It does not take a few minutes for people in the know to keep us up date but like many SOE operations we are left in the dark like mushrooms.

We are looking for support not ridicule from you and you are bound to side with the way the servers are because you are unaffected so has little or no impact on your play time as you stated you not willing or able to commit time due to your work commitments however we are not concerned about your work/life style just ours.

We go away and return in the time they announced the game would be up and alas it’s not so now do we sit and wait or move on with other things? Well after the 1st day of server issues they have tried to resolve but again failed so some mother has to take the can for this and I do not like being taken for a ride when I have laid out good money for this service. We are perfectly entitled to complain for a substandard service you guys over the pond may be willing to put up with this service but I am not.

cool well we were always taught words like that its a s not a z, but regardless theres a massive amount of spelling and terminology which would just be nice to see done the British way for British players

Just a plain page with a list of servers and UP or DOWN or, let's get exotic, LOADING or LOCKED perhaps.

Ya know, like you get when you go through char creation. Not like they don't have the info. Or a metric ton of web servers to host such a page.

Just a little thing, but it would help. The launcher does tell you, but you have to go through the login process to get it, which is nuts. (Also, does anyone know if that message is automatic, or someone has to write it? Not the patch notes bit, the "All servers are up except Gelenia" bit )
