As an 18 Weaponsmith, I can make weapons that rival most of what I see on the broker -- better if I use both attuning and resonating dusts.

The issue of not being able to make tin is annoying, but the way the system seems to work is: Don't even try and make a new recipe until 2-5 levels after you receive it.

At 18, I finally made my 1st Grade A Tin Ingot -- that recipe is lvl 11, and I failed regularly in making tin grade C until 14.

I think crafting will become a grind no matter what game you play but i honestly think the way Vanguard is doing it is one of the best ways it could have been done. It feels meaningful, it makes you think about what you are doing as opposed to just clicking set piece buttons for the fastest gain and it keeps your eyes moving (and you focused) as it throws complications up to the side of the main crafting panel.

The crafting is brilliant. Well done Sigil.

On a Scale of 1-10 probably about a 6-7 with a half point bonus for potential.

I like the work order system because it prevents a gadzillion of low level crap merchandise from being flooded into the market.

Over all the crafting system is challenging, but you have to make decisions at every step so it isn't just clicking the same button over and over. Well yes it is still a lot of clicking but you are invovled with determining the outcome more than most MMO crafting set ups.

The complication system has potential but right now its a mess. I think its turned up way to high and several of the counters don't work etc.

I like the fact that at level 5 or so I made a weapon that I could use at level 9-10ish. (Usefull crafting at lower levels is almost unheard of in MMOs)

So far its not a bad system, its a lot more complext than it looks on the surface and once the bugs are worked out I think it will be a pretty good system certainly one of the better ones in MMOLand.

Exactly what I saw. Made C class at 14. A C class dagger is junk compared to what you loot at 14 Adventurer. Things seem to be 5? levels off. I certainly hope that doesn't continue until endgame. Even now, on the brokers you can see that the Tin equipment is inferior to what looted items you can purchase.
