With only 2 articles left I hate to see this series comeing to an end. There has been so many intereting points and it has really given readers a chance to look at things from the viewpoint of what is often a minority group in gameing.

I remember when I first starting gameing in MUDS it was very hard to find other players who were really female. The games felt dominated by male players.

Now a days it is still sometimes hard to find real female players at times but its nice to know that there are a lot more of them playing now.

You have actually given me an idea, Jas. I have had so many gals who had wished they could have participated in this project. Therefore, for the very last article (Article 9 - Summary), I am going to ask the ladies, who were unable to participate but have ideas on this, to add their two cents worth. I will also go around to the other boards involved in this survey and let the ladies there who were not in the survey to give their opinions as well. Oooh, that's a great idea, actually. Thanks for inspiring it.

One of my daughter's first words was 'Ding!' and she knew what the level noise meant.

I about fell out of my chair laughing at this one...very cute.

I do see sometimes how easy it can be to get wrapped up in a game, and with all your ingame friendships. It can cause alot of different emotions...

When my guild broke up I was was crushed, and somehow felt it was my fault (we just had people that wanted something different) but it still made me feel sad.

Also having close friendships (while you wouldn't want to lose them) twist in so many ways, with the flip of a switch, like when a friend met up with a person and started grouping with them more than us...alot of emotions sort of got out of hand.

It's focused on minorities in gaming, but has some interesting statistical tidbits about the demographics of programmmers. And it points to how, typically, those creating the games are white males, thus leaving the "stories" of most games unbalanced from both a minority and a female perspective.
