Default VG Specs

On the demo machines at Fanguard, the machines they used had a p4 3.0ghz 2gb of ram and radeon X800's and x850's and the game ran very smoothly. Sorry if this has been posted already

I had read that... it's consistant with info we've had before on the types of systems Sigil uses for demos.

What would be really interesting to know is the resolution and settings they were using with those computers.

Also remember that these were demo machines, in other words Sigil wanted the game running really well to show it off. I'll bet the minimum specs for a playable Vanguard experience will be well below what the demo machines were.

I'm hoping all the requirements are high..so I can convince my hsuband that I need a bunch of upgrades....some girls like diamonds, I like hardware upgrades.... (hey, I like diamonds too! Although if I had to choose between the two...the latest and greatest gaming laptop would win.)

You had me at "I like hardware upgrades."

Vanguard won't require a super high-end machine at release... but it can't hurt. Vanguard looks like it will be very scalable, all the way from a moderate game machine up past anything that is available. You could no doubt buy the latest bleeding edge hardware, and Vanguard would make good use of it.

I'm runnig a similar machine to the "demo" ones- P4 3.2ghz, 2gb DDR2 ram, ATI's X800 XL - should be enough to get me by at least til next year. If I get my hubby to play he may end up with this machine and I'll upgrade to a bigger better one
