Default Hit a brick wall at level 12 weaponsmith

Hey all

I trying out some crafting and it seems nice, got to 11, did my amateur quest and got some nice new recepies. Hit 12 by itself almost but thats where the fun stopped. I have been doing difficult WOs to grade C all the time but for some reason at 12 I cant get a moderate WO to grade C without failing 50% of the time.

My question is this, is there something i can change to be able to at least make moderate WOs without failing 50% of the time or are people just grinding very easy or easy WOs for xp?

I bought all new gear at 10 or 11 so my EE is at almost 100%. Stats are as follows:
Problem 140
Resoning 122
Inginuity 122
Finesse 123
Blacksmithing 135
Weaponsmithing 135
Metallurgy 135
Smelting 87
Smelting tools 96
Smelting utilities 120
Forging 93
Forging tool 90
Forging utilities 120

I have sorta just let the stats hit wherever they fall so far and I dont know if that was a good idea.
Any help is appreciated.

90% of your problem comes from the fact that you are splitting up your specialization points between blacksmithing, weaponsmithing and armorsmithing. You need to pick blacksmithing and one other to be a viable crafter. (There will probably be someone to prove me wrong on this, but it will still be more work.) 10% comes from your low ingenuity and forging, (smelting for refining), both of which are station skills and work to prevent problems in the first place. Problem solving only gets rid of them once they are there.

just to follow that up, your skills in smelting and forging are only 87 and 90 or something. That means in those areas you are only level 8 and 9, That will drag down your success IMO.

Since you sepcialized in weapon smith, all the points in armor smith would be wasted. YOu can turn the button to "negative" and your skill in armor smith would go down and those will get recycled.

The only stat I have put a - on is just armorsmithing. You can see that because both Weaponsmithing and Blacksmithing are maxed. I also didnt list armorsmithing since its zero.
The max for my level is actually 120 but I got a nice apron that boost WS, AS and BS +15.

I know the lower stats on some might be a problem but you dont have points to max all three stats. I have tried to get my hands on some crafting gear that boost the stats but to no luck so far.

There was another thread however about an increase in complications a few days ago, around the same time I hit 12. It might not be me, just an overall increase in comps I guess.

Gonna try to switch my stats around a bit tonight. You use all three when crafting so its not like I can max two because then I would never get by the step that uses the third stat.

Wow, I must have just completely missed that. I thought it said armorsmithing in there. My reading comprehension fails, I guess.

No worries

I have changed my stats and also bought completly new gear. I have managed to get the stats up a bit and now its going good. Im pushing B on most moderates, never fail a C any more. Even managed to get a grade A with a positive complication.

The gear you can buy at crafting vendors suck it seems, you need looted items from WOs to be able to make moderate WOs.

Good to hear. I know they make it so you cant max all stats without gear, but I decdied I couldnt figure out which one ot let lag. So, I keep them all even, This would seem to have the ffect of delaying the level at which you can try recipes-- until your stats catch up.
I don;t have the gera you have , but even so it seems these days with comlications I'm settling for a "C" on most moderate WO.

Aye, its hard to know what stats to keep up since you cant max them all. I leveled to 13 and with the new gear im max at one, the other two at 110+. So im at least lvl 11 in everything instead of lvl 8-9 like before

You seem to be able to make a big swing just by swapping out gear, so I've been keeping them even, too, for flexibility.
