Why do all casters in every MMO think it's their god given right to be a overpowered god mode class in every game that can AE grind 10 blue 2 dots at once with 30 seconds downtime
I find it hilarious so many sorcerors are even suprised and whining CV was nerfed, I mean COME ON that spell was out damaging other dps classes by 50 times as much even a dev on graffe.com STATED that it was doing that
This isent SoE here, they dont balance to cater to the massive quantities of god complex whine bitches like the caster communities, they are going to balance around their own vision which is having a group centric game that is balanced and not having 1 man armies going around farming 15 mobs at once, if you dont like it you can go back to where they cater to the majority of whiners so you keep paying them, like WoW and EQ2

So... how are you doing that with your sorcerer?
I can take down two blue 2 dots but its not risk free, three of these and its usually all over for this squishy robe wearer.
When I'm fighting yellow 2 dots and almost dieing on every pull its interesting to watch the more robust classes totally owning them and chain pulling. I susspect that it is not I who has the god mode here.

Rinse and repeat
Constantly run away from the mob while fighting. You should never get hit.

Yes, that would be an appropriate way of kiting one mob. They were talking about kiting 10 mobs.
Only way you'd be able to do 10 is with some lucky Icequakes(Being able to icequake 10 mobs at the start, I'd like to find a place with that kind of mob density), but if a couple resist your pack gets all screwed up, and with our HP, resists = death.

Except when you encouter a spawn, your snare fails, you back into another mob, or heavens for bid you pull two mobs.

Why can't all monsters spawn at range from you, be 100% vulnerable to snare/slow/root effects and in dungons with lots of space to run around and no other mobs to run into?
Its not much to ask is it? ^_^

So pay attention... clear camps slowly from the outside in and make sure that you dont get 2 on a pull. If you think youre going to get 2 on the pull, sleep one and then kill the second. Its like the old hunting addage, if you cant kill it with 3 12-gauge slugs... run. If you cant kill a mob in 30 seconds as a Sorc... run. Even then, Color Spray + Sleep works well to keep 2 mobs separate. Oh, and dont use CV unless you absolutely have to burn the mob down in 3 spells.
The bottom line is, we are amazing damage output, and the cost of that is crap-tastic armor. If youre tanking something, youre doing it wrong. If it takes you more than ~20 seconds to kill a mob, go fight something else... or heaven forbid, go find someone to duo with.
As a side note, you should also make sure that your Alteration skill is maxed. Take about an hour and chain-cast See Invisibility (or whatever) on yourself nonstop. You will have MUCH better results with Sleep/CS with capped Alteration.

That's all well and good except mobs spawn at rediculous rates in most areas and by the time i clear a large enough area for suitable kiting the mobs have respawned. Dungeons are even worse.
Maybe things will get better when ER is usable again, and I get sleep next level...until then my shaman is MUCH better in both PVE and PVP.

Fixage? Great, they reduced energy right to 30 endurance..
And then they went and UPPED the casting cost on all of our DD and AOE spells? Are you freaking kidding me?
At least they claim to have fixed INT so it scales damage appropriately. I'll have to confirm that when I get in before I believe it. Regardless, they upped strength and int damage modifiers across the board, so Sorcs still remain the class with very little utility and that still fail to come close to being the burst DPS masters.

So anyone with first hand experience since the latest patch? We still screwed? Hows ER, end reg, dmg (int) increase, mana cost on spells etc?
Unfortunately I wont be able to login for another 24 hours

DPS went up for all arcane casters.
Sorc DPS still needs a bit of a boost NON-CV.
Otherwise I am pretty happy.

Pfft, screw casters, who are all pretty close to where they should be, though not perfect.

Wow, talk about a crap site. Can't login, took me forever to even FIND the Vanguard forum using that link -- this is just stupid. Doesn't Sony or Sigil have an extra computer laying around that they can run a frikken forum from so we don't have to sit around for 4 hours searching 10 different forums anytime we need to try and figure something out??
