I highly suggest college for ANYBODY who enjoys learning even a little bit. I personally love to learn, its a passion of mine, and just being in a class room soaking up knowledge is reward in and of itself. The degree that I'll get opening doors for me is juist a bonus, honestly. I also makes you feel good about yourself to do good in college.
Basically, what I'm saying is, when deciding rather or not to go to college, don't just look at the numbers. Theres a LOT more to the experience than how much you'll make when you graduate. | Your blog is terrible and you're not the slightest bit funny. You also write like a third grader.

I suppose I'm in the minority here, but while I find Zepplin to be quite the pioneers of their day musically, Jimmy Page is a terrible guitarist, and I never really enjoyed their music at all. They're a great band for sure and they completely reshaped music as we know it, but it just isn't my cup of tea.
So no.. I wouldn't go see them.

Timothy Olyphant is easily one of the best actors in current Hollywood rotation. I loved his badass porn-director character in The Girl Next Door and he was pure money in Deadwood.

Machine Head's cover of Message in a Bottle is very cool. Alient Ant Farm's Smooth Criminal was brilliant.
Limp Bizkit's Sanitarium rocked.. Fred really needs to give up this whole rapping nonsense and stick to the heavy stuff.

$300M for a MMO? Egads, where could it possibly all be spent? OK, so you hire a lot of developers to build content (just to have lots of it eventually). A core of programmers would be building the mechanism, but you cannot dump too much money into that. Are they researching and building a server farm with that money?
Just don't hold your breath. A budget like that implies one thing - a long time.

Hehe, I'm afraid you'll have to wait for a post-mortem or something before you get all of that juicy soap-opera drama that will give ya something to talk about for a week until somethin else comes up
Back on topic, I wonder how they'll handle classes/skills in it. An Oblivion/Morrowind-style system would be fairly intriguing.

I know its off topic and forgive me if its too personal to ask, especially coming from someone who is critical about the game, and most likely hasn't said the greatest things one could say about your involvement with VG, how are things for you post Vanguard?
And of course I wouldn't want you to burn any bridges, but can you offer us any insider insight about VG and the recent happenings surrounding it, or VG's past beyond what you have already posted in various places?
|
I'm doing well, thanks for asking I started at Rockstar the week after I left Vanguard and have been enjoying myself tremendously since then.
As for the insider insight, I'm gonna keep my yapper shut for the time being. I'd like to think that I still have a lot of friends that currently work on VG and I'd hate for my large mouth to endanger or make their jobs more difficult. Things like the F13 interviews add stress to our job (mind you, is the fault of the interviewees, not F13) so I'm tryin my best to avoid situations like that. On the other hand, SoE treated us like ass and fired 50+ of my friends so we'll see how long that I can hold out with that excuse
Regardless, I wish most of you SV folks the best and hope that y'all, if you're still playing VG, are still having fun
