Sadly having used Creative's products for the past 10 years or so, I have no idea who else makes good quality sound cards.

Diplomacy development suspended

I apologize guys for my part in any confusion this has brought. They'll put me and/or Linear_Core back on Diplomacy as soon as we're done with our critical tasks.

As Hasium said, I'm implementing our new "optimized NPC" assets. Basically, Art has created some ultra-efficient attachments for our NPCs that greatly decreases the number of render passes your video card takes when it draws the NPCs. In some cases we're talking going from 25+ passes to like, 6. It's sweet spawning a bunch of these and watching my framerate stay steady.

My job is to select and apply these assets to our existing NPCs across Telon. You'll see some clothing changes here and there, though "special" NPCs will still look special.

Same. I get all kinds of static, popping, and clipping. It got better when I bumped up the number of channels to max, but it's still there. This is with an X-Fi Platinum.

Except the Padres are going with Jake Peavy, the runaway NL Cy Young winner. If Jake is on, they have no chance. Let's see...

#1 ERA - 2.36. The next closest is over 3.0
#1 Wins (NL) - 19
#3 S.O. - 234. If he'd had his normal numbers for his last start, he'd have led the NL in strike outs too.

The Rockies only hope tomorrow is if the Padres can't hit.

EQ 1 changes needed...

Not yet. Models are an on-going thing, but we're not in a rush. We're far more interested in keeping the game updated, and at least for me, bug-fixing what I can (note: I'm not a coder, so I can only fix content related things).

Moving expansions back out to a year is going to give us a lot more time to polish things, do more creative stuff that we couldn't do in a 6 month cycle, and basically make sure the quality is better as a whole.

For a nearly 9 year old game, EQ is doing VERY well.
