Haha, that is hilarious but I also feel bad for Bilbo now; no one agrees with you? Well, actually I get that alot so I can imagine how you feel.
I am often a proponent of unpopular ideas and opinions, but I always mean well in my actions.
As for Sony in general as a company (and all of its branches), I still like the company's products. Not their MMOG's though, and I won't be playing any of them, no Sony online. But they make the Playstation (and other good electronic equipment too), and Playstation 2's games are generally better than its current competitors.
Maybe if X-Box stopped just generating sports games (ew) and first person shooters for awhile and had some more quality RPGs and strategy games (Preferablly turn-based ones), I'd get around to buying one sooner. I do plan on buying one eventually anyway though. Though don't ask me what games I'll get, since none I've heard of have floored me with "Must buy".

This is absolutely true.
However, I must respectfully disagree on one point: To think alot of women don't enjoy robot (Or other types) kill-fests is not true. Unless I just know all the bloodthirsty women in the world.
Though speaking averages: The average American male will be more likely to see it than the average American female. And most people follow cultural trends of what is considered "acceptable" and fall into the category of "average". Thus, moviemakers use the tools at their disposal to attract everyone they can to make money. And its a job, and they need to make their money and pay their production costs.
Getting back on topic and away from culture and the movie industry commentary: I should see this movie, everyone seems pretty pleased with it.

Hehe, you and 70% of everyone registered in this forum. I was taking a look through the members for fun a few times. Elves in general are popular, but you see "dark elf" enough times.
Though I was never a fan of the dark elves specifically (though I do love elves in general) they are popular enough. Maybe that'll influence the decision, eh?
As a side note, I never cared for "Barbarian" as a race. Barbarian is a cultural / occupational thing, not a race thing. A race of large humanoids that look exactly like humans except bigger called something else that traditionally have a savage low tech culture would be fine, but calling them Barbarians? I just don't see it. Barbarian as a class, that's more logical.

Yes, the adapters are great. The Playstation controllers are good for a number of things.Quote: Why do you need pads? Why not keyboards?
Controllers are better for certain games. In particular, games that have been designed for pad-interface: Emulators in particular. It's harder to play Shadowrun for SNES with a keyboard.

Yes, which is not what Fallout is. Fallout is not a 3rd person action RPG or an MMORPG (Though it would make a good MMORGP, then it'd be acceptable for it to be real time).
I'm all for new things if the new things are better than the old things, but ruining Fallout won't make it better. Throwing out all the old code! That is heresy... It was great code. They should have kept it, and just tweaked it to make it even better. Starting over from scratch with this game is like playing one round of Russian Roulette.
Didn't they make a Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance-like shoot off for Fallout, in other words like a Diablo rip? It looked completely lame, think I saw a preview in a magazine once, so I didn't even bother keeping up with that one.

Someone informed me of that in another thread, but what worries me is that even though I never played Morrowind, from what I've heard and seen it is not a turn based post-apocolyptic RPG that is funny and fun and intriguing all at the same time.
Thus... I worry a smidge.
As for Fable, it looks sorta interesting, I just checked it out online. Combat doesn't sound too thrilling since I'm more interested in the turn based kind though. The idea looks good though, but I'm hesitant to think it can be all that they claim it can be. Hm.

There are some power gamers that enjoy the challenge I suppose (though most seem to want the quick route to power), but I was under the impression they like the clear-cut facts so they know they are achieving power, even if it is difficult to get there.

Class consideration aside, yes they need to put enchantment magic in. But I'm pretty sure they will. It is my favorite type of magic.
I'm hoping Vanguard doesn't do this, but supposing they do, if they make a highly restrictive class-based system like EQ that doesn't allow me to use my preferred fighter/mage/thief hybrid character, I would probably play an enchanter or something like that.
Charisma is of course important for enchanters, but it should be implemented that it is useful for everyone.
