I don't know, he was on the 700 Club or one of those fanatical religious shows. I am certain of that, I know I saw it, but I've told people that and they haven't believed me. I couldn't find any real proof to give the people who didn't believe me, I had just saw something on TV about it. Did anyone else hear/see anything about that?
This happened before he became president, I believe, perhaps before he had considered running. Not 100% sure.

Mana is like so so so dated.
I always preferred the idea on magic that if you knew spells you could cast them anytime, and they just fatigued you, or if you overdrew, killed you. That it drew on the bodies own mental and physical stores. Was never a huge fan of the pre-memorized thing.
But to each their own, yup yup.

Hmm alright. Now I do understand. I learned something today --- And its great to learn! Because knowledge is power!
And that was very well put about the differences and similiarties between single player console and pen and paper RPGs, by the way.
But yes, I do treat MMORPGs like pen and paper games, instead of console single player games (though I enjoy both).
So that still leaves the seperation issue for the two different viewpoints, but different servers can solve that. RP servers and non-RP servers.

Encumbrance is a very good thing. Since the character I usually play never wears armor, it'd be good to see something out of it since in alot of games you are just penalized for not-wearing armor.
Of course, I did it anyway, because my character didn't wear it. But armor does restrict movement and add encumbrance, and I would like to see implements regarding that.

I consider Doom a classic, but that is about it. FPSs were never my favorite genre to begin with, though I play them now and then with other people if I just feel like shooting stuff. I never play them 1 Player, they are always incredibly boring, too difficult, and/or completely non-innovative.
Then again I never would pay actual money for FPSs, no matter the title, so I don't think I'm the target audience for Doom 3.
I like it when they use NPC allies though, that is fun. As long as they do something. Halo has something like that I believe, where you get computer controlled soldiers to aid you. Medal of Honor too, if I remember right.

Of course not.
Actually the classic Fantasy setting isn't my favorite, though I do enjoy it. My favorite is more the ones like Shadowrun, magic and modern technology combine. Always loved that stuff. Oh, but I digress...Quote: Originally Posted by Nenjin Want to be able to GM call on someone because he's saying things like "Dude" or "Hey bro, I'm on the phone" or "Does that sword give you +10 strength?"? Go to your own server please. If I can't be free to be me in a game, what's the point of playing? I don't play computer games to labor under a whole ton of roleplaying social and chat rules. I'd end up never talking to anyone and playing solo or with RL friends.
I just don't see why people that want RP aren't happy with their own server. The game rules can be tweaked so all those little roleplay aspects you demand in can be there, while the rest of can enjoy the game the way we like to enjoy it.
Well I agree with the seperation policy, but I disagree on the way you'd like to do it. The majority of servers should be roleplay, and a minority for people who just want to mess around. That would be fine.
I don't think I have ever really understood why people who don't want to roleplay play RPGs? I mean you can play a good action game or something, or how about Counterstrike? You can randomly shoot stuff there.
If I just want to just enjoy light non-immersive chaotic-type fun I play games like that. But for roleplaying, I play roleplaying games. Then have a server or so for people who don't want to roleplay.
