Actually, one of the loaner designers from SOE is working with on my team (well.. not MY team, but the team I'm on) and he's extremely creative and really helping out a lot. He's jumped in with both feet and is very much "On Board" with our ideas and philosophies and is a true collaborative asset to our development.

Just because he worked on EQ2 doesn't mean he can only work in that design spec and is trying to turn Vanguard into EQ2.

New Targonor is actually VERY large, especially when you consider that it's all one piece, with no zones or any instancing within it's walls.

Other games you've mentioned such as EQ2 or FFXI all have zones within their city limits.

There's been a lot of heated emotional debate going on in other forums, which is of course expected when people are so passionate about anything like this game we're making.. So I thought I might try to bring a little more light-hearted community aspects to the boards

So what music are you listening to these days? Give me your current top 5 CD's in any order of preference.

NOTE: I'm not interested in who is better than who, or any sort of arguments.. Just curious what music people like..

I'll start:

Avenged Sevenfold - City of Evil
Dream Theater - Octavarium
Muse - Everything/Anything I can get my hands on from these guys.
Fates Warning - FWX
Robbie Williams - Swing While You're Winning (all covers of old Frank Sinatra/Dean Martin/Sammy Davis Jr. type stuff).

Oblivion is a great game.. Probably one of the best single player RPG's I've played in a LONG time. I'm having a lot of fun with it and the environments are very nice.

That said.. I think Vanguard's character modeling is FAR superior and our environments are far beyond anything else in the MMO space.. Single player games have distinct advantages in that they never have to render the amount of characters onscreen that an MMO will.. so they can spend that computer power elsewhere.

Crafting in every other MMO I have ever played (which is just about every major title ever released) bored me to tears or gave me carpal tunnel syndrome.

Crafting in Vanguard to me is very enjoyable, and unlike other games, is VERY productive all the way to the high end game. I honestly can see there being a large group of people who play this game who never do anything but crafting.
