Yes, some interviews and articles have had to be put on hold. The Affiliates are aware that we have had to delay releasing any new info. But we will work with them to get things updated and completed as soon as we can. This may require working with them to update articles and rewrite some interviews once information is flowing. But we are more than happoy to work with our Affiliates to get this done.

This release allows us to use your name and/or picture in relation to your attendance at Fanguard. For example, we may release a list of names of contest winners or your picture could turn up on our website. This release just means you can't sue us or demand to get paid for it.

After the game has been released, we will bring the Fanguards to many of the cities you have mentioned in this thread in due time. When I was overseeing the Fan Faires, we alternated the areas, sometimes East Coast, sometimes West and sometimes in the middle. We visited cities including Baltimore, Minneapolis, Orlando, Seattle, Boston and Dallas.
We plan to run the Fanguards the same way. So if travelling to one of these events is out of the question for you, hang on. We will get closer to you at some point.
But only after Vanguard has been released. Until then, we won't be leaving town.

Refunds for cancellations can be issued until registration closes on January 20th. Once we have committed to the numbers to the hotel, we have to pay that amount whether you actually show up or not.

The event is indeed all taking place at the hotel in downtown San Diego. In fact, I encourage you to get rooms there if you can, as we usually tend to spend lots of time hanging out in the bars and restaurants after the official activities are over. So plan on staying around late!

Sorry for the delay folks... but you can finally register for the January Fanguard here!
San Diego Fanguard
January 27-28th
San Diego Sheraton Hotel & Marina
Cost: $80
Registration opens at 5:00 Friday, Jan 27th
The event begins at 7:00 p.m.
The San Diego Fanguard begins with a ****tail party with our team on Friday night. Saturday will include demos of Vanguard, discussions with our team members, fun activities, contests and loads of fun meeting and getting to know your fellow gamers!
We will also be conducting another “Cattle Call” and interviewing potential team members. We hired several people from the last Fanguard and will likely hire more of them as we progress in our development. If you are interested in working with us, don’t miss your chance to get a face to face interview with our team! Space is limited but we will interview as many as we can fit into our schedule.
Note: you must be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult to attend this event.

No one under 18 may attend any part of the Fanguard unless accompanied by an adult. Alcohol will be available at the ****tail party Friday night and at the dinner on Saturday night. It will be served by the hotel and ID's will be checked by them if you order alcohol.
Friday night is very informal and casual. There will be food and a hosted bar for you to enjoy as you get to know members of our team and your fellow MMOG enthusiasts.
Saturday will be filled with Vanguard demos, discussion groups and contests. Then Saturday evening, we will conclude with a banquet and award some great prizes. 
Oh, and I heard some rumors about room parties being organized throughout the event. Any truth to those?

We are indeed still alive and kicking. But we did slow down some for the holidays. Folks around here have been working pretty hard and we all needed some quality time with our families. We hope you all enjoyed your holidays as well.
We have been in a stage of development in which we have been unable to release any new information for a bit. But as we approach release, you will see more information on a more regular basis.
Thanks for your patience and your support. We have come a long way as a community since the days when we couldn't even confirm what kind of game we were making. And it won't be much longer before you'll finally be playing Vanguard instead of reading about it.
