I've said this lots of times already but I'll say it again for this thread.
We plan to host events all around the country and possibly in Europe, as long as the events are successful. But we most likely will host these events close to home until after Vanguard is released. During Beta, we need most of our time and attention to stay here in the office.

There have been lots of questions about the next Fanguard and I am already working on planning it. So let me give you some answers here in this mini-FAQ and also get some feedback from you.
When is the next Fanguard?
We are tentatively planning our next Fanguard for sometime in October. I say tentatively because it depends on a couple of factors. First, I need to be sure that there is enough interest. I can only plan a party if I am sure people will be attending!
The development schedule is another big factor. Hosting an event like this takes many people from the team away from their regular tasks. We have to make sure that the timing will not impact the production schedule.
I will let you know as soon as a date is set and get you all the information you need to make your arrangements as soon as everything is finalized.
Where is the next Fanguard?
As you know, we are now in Beta. That means people are working harder than ever and schedules and budgets are even tighter than usual. So there is no way we can consider doing another event out of town right now. So unless there are some unforeseen changes , the next event will most likely be here in the San Diego area.
What will the next event be like?
That depends on how many people attend. The bigger the group, the better I can do in the area of getting us a great place to hold the event. But I do expect this event to be a little bigger and a little better than the last one. Again, I’ll get you more information about that as soon as I have the details confirmed.
So... are you in?
Please take a moment to answer the poll so I can have a rough idea of how many people might be interested in attending.
I look forward to meeting lots of you at this and other future events!

I just wanted to clarify some things about Beta invitation winners from Fanguard and other events. There have been some questions about how that process will work.
Right now, we are in Beta 0 which is very literally for friends and family. The people getting in now are spouses, parents, siblings or friends of people here at Sigil.
During Beta 1, the winners will receive an invitation to the program just like our friends and family did. They will have to go through the same process of submitting their system specs, showing they have some game experience, that they will be a benefit to the program and most importantly that they will not be a disruption. Other factors that are considered are things like their association with the industry. For example, a developer for a competing project or a member of the press might not get into an early stage of Beta.
Each stage of Beta increases the number of people getting invitations to apply. And as promised, before the Beta goes public, members of our community will receive invitations to apply before it is announced to the public.
I hope that answers some of your questions. If you have others, post them here and I will do my best to asnwer them.

Sorry folks... locking this thread.
Beta invitations are not transferable. Even those that win are subject to the same restrictions as everyone else in Beta and can be denied if they are determined to be unsuitable for the program. It's important to understand that these are invitations to apply for Beta spots. Winners will go through the same screening process as everyone else has, including our own friends and family members that are just now getting into Beta 0.
And selling accounts of any kind, even in Beta is not something we will allow. Our policy on this has been clear.
