My favorite games of the past:
- The Monkey Island series
- Day of the Tentacle
- Longest Journey
- Betrayal at Krondor
- Gabriel Knight
Obviously, I'm a big adventure game fan. It's too bad the old formula of that genre isn't really popular right now. They've always been games with the most charm and character to them, IMHO. Currently I switch between playing World of Warcraft, and Civ4... and some Winning Eleven when I'm feeling consoley.

Awesome. I came to to England v. Brazil, and Holland v. Croatia in the semi-finals. I think it'll be Holland vs. Brazil/England for the final. I could go either way in calling England and Brazil. As much as I love the three lions, Brazil is going to be THE team to beat this year. The semi-final game with them will be the deciding game, I think. Whomever comes out of it against Brazil will win the Cup. If they can be beaten. Ronaldinho has been in amazing form lately... so it's gonna be tough. But we got Rooney. *knock on wood*
It's funny, because I didn't rank a lot of non-European teams out of the group stages. Except for Mexico, Brazil, US, and Argentina, I didn't think any of the other countries were strong enough to beat the European powers. The African nations this year... I dunno about them too much. Seems they're all one-player teams. Drogba and Ivory Coast, Essien and Ghana. It'll be fun to see who the upsets are from outside the continent.

MLS up to Par with Serie A? AC Milan, AS Roma, Inter Milan and Juventus.
I would say that some of the premier (and I use the term loosely) MLS squads might be able to take 1/3 of their games from Serie B teams.
No. Just saying that they have the extra benefit of regular play to keep their bodies and reflexes in shape. Not commenting on the quality of football in the MLS itself.

Don't forget their terrible showing at Euro '04. I gotta say, Italy may have been awesome in the past. But they've slowly degraded from outplaying other teams, to outlasting other teams, and now they just scrape by. And they're historically been quick to jump on paranoid and conspiracy theories over their losses. I gotta say, Czech's look much stronger than them, and I could peg the USA to give the Italians a little surprise. Especially now that their first team has had a few years of full-time league play with the MLS to keep their form up to par with the Italian regulars in Serie A.
Either way, I agree with what others have mentioned. It's gonna be the closest, nail-biting group by far. I think in the end, the Czech's take it, and USA squeeks by Italy by a point or two.

I've been taunting "The Swedes" here at work after we watched the draw. England is my adopted team, and it's gonna be ugly once June rolls around. But it's a good group. Paraguay is the weakest South America team, Trinidad is probably the weakest team in the tournament. Practically free access to the 16.
Poor Australia. They bust their butts to qualify, and get grouped up with Croatia and Brazil. OUCH.

Its also strange how in the US they do not use the slow pour method for Guinness. 45 degrees at the harp on the glass. fill to three quarters full. leave to settle for 30-40 seconds then top up resulting in a nice creamy head. top off with a picture of a clover in the head.
There's an Irish pub here in San Diego that does that. It's the only place I've been to in the US that does it all the way down to the clover. But most places with it on tap have picked up to the "pour-let-it-settle" method. Most...
