I mean the movies never even show a good depiction of Time Travel( hehe back to the future lol) and most books prove it to be totally flawed to believe in it.

Do you think there is any hope that Time Travel is possible!?

<major geek>
Nope because time travel would subtract from the total amount of mass and energy in the universe at given point.

The only fiction that came remotely close to addressing this was quantum leap.

I didn't say Vanguard was going to be running on the Macintosh - I said that MGS has produced games on the Mac platform.

We are a Windows and Windows Vista product period.

So the big question is, will the XBox 360 come out with a slew of good RPGs?

They are supposed to be adding at least a few servers to the mix I think.

There are already some great RPGs in development for the 360. I think you will be happy with the mix. There's also a nice schedule of titles for the next year so great games should constantly trickle in.

At that point, I'll probably buy an Xbox 360. Until then...

Will just have to keep on waiting for Blue Dragon I guess .

It's going to be Square-Enix. Last months OXM had a beta CD and you can play in the same universe as PCs and Playstations.

Any thoughts on this?

I used to leave my computers on 24/7. In college this was cool because I would often access the machines remotely. However now I have so many firewalls in place I can't do this easily and to be honest I really have no need. Also my energy bills have been really high lately.

So given the fact that I don't access the machines remotely, electricity is expensive, and I'm never home - I just turn the machines off.

Thanks!
-Ionix.

A Linux client (or server for the matter) is simply out of the question - Microsoft is a platform company and the reason we have a games division is because of the revenue brought in by the Windows group. I know it's a religous issue for many but it's simply not going to happen. This is a common practice for platform companies. You wouldn't expect to see the next version of Zelda or Mario running on the PSP would you?

As for the Linux emulators and such - we aren't going to spend any time on it one way or another. That time and money is better spent on the platform that 95% of our consumers use on a daily basis. If people get Vanguard working then that's great, however if we patch in some update that breaks the emulation we won't support those customers.

Lastly for the Macintosh - Microsoft has been one of the largest publishers of Mac software for years. We ship both games and desktop products on the Mac platform.

I know the issue of platforms is a religious issue for many. (I read slashdot daily and chuckle) But Vanguard is being paid for by Microsoft - so it should be no surprise that we are building the game for our platforms.

Microsoft defending themselves, then the conversation meandoring off onto a gameplay discussion led by the ceo. It's amazing what a little communication can do. I guess ive just been feeling a bit abused by SOE and lost all confidence in online game developers. Had a go with Dark and Light also. I've already emailed this off to some of my friends to read. lol.
Thanks Consider, the one thing I love about online games is the opportunity to interact with the customers. I've enjoyed that since my days on the MSN Gaming Zone. (I was actually one of the developers that got Age on the Zone)

While I don't have the bandwidth to hit every single topic - I recognize that it's helpful to put a "face" on the faceless beast. And I make it a point to be honest and direct with the community.
