Whether this piece clicks with you or not, keep in mind that this is really just a drop in the bucket when considering the scope of the entire score. Someone above mentioned we've shared about 2% of the music, but statistically that figure is well below 1%. I will try to continue releasing more previews as beta progresses.

I was a bit reluctant to release the Cobalt piece as it is a bit of a departure from the normal in-game tracks. I wrote it fairly recently and went with a trance type feel to perpetuate motion using delays on certain instrumental tracks. It has a bit of an unusual feel due to the delay and some heavy syncopations between the percussion and pipe. Since this is primarily a piece heard while on a boat, I figured I would try something different while still adding flavor from the region.

I have no idea why, but I found that absolutely hilarious. Bravo.

I think it just has to do with the word puncakes.

For those unfamiliar with how music functions in Vanguard:

This piece represents an example of what traveling through the Cobalt Deep during daylight hours without any hostile encounters may sound like. I basically set random layerings together for demonstration purposes. Your mileage can and will vary depending on any number of circumstances including time of day, combat encounters, party member's hit points, mobility, and the good old random number generator.
