When time permits, I'll describe the scenes you're looking at in more detail... quick summary: the High Elf village called Leth Nurae, more Fallen Lands shots, Dargun's Tomb (the dungeon), and the street scene is inside the walls of New Targonor.

I know this early alpha, but thus far I'm far from impressed with the engine...walls right now seems to be a flat surface with a simple textures applied to them...doesn't seem any fancy shader tricks to make them more real.

Probably just because it's early in develpoment though since it was mentioned that we'd see some good stuff technology wise.

But as I said, everything looks really gorgeous.

One of the challenges with bump mapping is that if the light is shining directly on the surface, you loose some of the bump detail. We are already working on some tech for that, as well as ensuring the detail shows up in the dead of night as well. So I think what you're seeing is some shots where it's around noon time.

If you look at the dungeon shot, as an example, with no sunlight source, but instead lit by multiple torch lights, you can see the detail a lot better, which should give you an indication of the detail we hope you'll see most every where it makes sense.

As for the textures, look again There's very advanced tech there, with texture blending and such.
