Just a couple battles, like with that Troll you guys love to show off, or some of those nifty undead on mounts. That wouldn't take long, I don't think. Hell, a beta tester could do it with FRAPS and 10 minutes spare time.

I fully understand -- what you saw, even though it was short, was Jeff actually in the beta and demoing gameplay.

the former. The interview with the boat was live, beta coverage -- what you saw there was Jeff hooked up to beta and running the client that the beta testers are running right now (although, using his GM powers, because demos are only so long, we did do things to speed things up).

Just wanted to talk about it for a sec.
1. The footage is a couple of months old. I think the game looks good in it, but the game even looks better now, and will continue to look better.
2. This *was*a teaser movie put together for E3 -- it was not meant to be an indepth movie which I know many of you are looking forward to.
3. The movie was put together by Microsoft -- Sigil wasn't involved in putting it together at all. We were busy enough working on the game, getting things ready for E3, and also this transition from Microsoft to SOE.
4. I still very much want to do a more in-depth movie and very much understand why many of you who looked at it said "well, yeah, cool, but short and not as long or in-depth as we were hoping for"
5. I've apologized in the past that we haven't released yet an in-depth movie, and I apologize again. I do think now that E3 is wrapping up as well as the initial transition from Microsoft to SOE (where are first priority was to get it done in time so that we could show at SOE's booth and have it presented in a manner and with the fanfare that the game deserves), that we'll be able to put together a longer, more in-depth movie relatively soon. I believe this because we now have SOE to help us with it. Their marketing and PR is really good about putting out movies and such and I'm confident we can get something out there relatively soon with their help but with our guidance. Before, it was either let Microsoft do it all, or we stop everything and do it all, and we had to make the call to focus instead on the game, beta, and getting ready for E3.
anyway, thanks all for your continued patience and understanding. I feel good to some degree that at least we finally got a movie out there, but at the same time hear you guys loud and clear that you want (and deserve) something longer and more in-depth and we will immediately start working with SOE on putting such an in-game movie together.
