Exactly.

That is the thing, people who just want to wear most l33t l00t never even figure how stupid it would look when its all visible. I'm all for making a powerful magic item that looks incredibly stupid. How about fuzzy slippers of stealth made by a crazy mage who loved comfort? Armor the color of bananas made by a fighter-mage who liked to be visible on the battlefield? A hedgewizard who invented a cape to protect him from local ruffians who tried to steal his/her chickens? I'd love to see a giant monster-like humanoid running around in full bright yellow magi-armor, a powder blue cape with a chicken embroided on it, and ridiculous puke-green slippers.

Most powergamers wouldn't really care, but I still get a good laugh out of at is a roleplayer (as would my character). Just like those stupid cups in EQ.
