Given that age is a rather poor guideline for maturity in a goodly number of cases, I do not think that this idea would work too well. I mean it is an interesting idea, the theory is sound, but I do not think the results would be what is desired.
I'm over 21, and I would not play on it.
A more effective way to go around it, I think, is work from the opposite end: "Kids" servers, for exceptionally young children. Let the parents decide if their children will play on the kids servers or the other servers.
Then again, that will likely not work as intended either.
Hmm...
Personally, I judge people's maturities by their actions, not their ages, so neither idea is something I'd be on the boat for.
On another note, even though I've gotten older I still haven't changed my opinion that so many parents baby their children too long, think they are naive. A sixteen year old isn't a toddler (well, a few act like it but most aren't). I don't have children, maybe my opinion will change when I do. I don't think its likely though.
How about a jerk-filter, so all the people who ruin other peoples' games are forced to go to another server? Or better yet, their computer explodes. Ah, now that is wishful thinking . . .
