I am unable to group harvest anything

Good job guys! Pretty much everything you've said is spot on.

The only other thing you need to double check is your tools. You should have specialized tools for your primary and secondary and harvester tools for the others. For example.

Pristine Tin Stonemason Hammer
Pristine Tin Axe
Pristine Harvester Tin Skinning Knife
Pristine Harvester Tin Pickaxe
Pristine Harvester Tin Sickle

If you open your toolbelt and any of the tool icons are red, that's the problem.
